The Breakout West Festival is part of the Western Canadian Music Alliance's annual event. The festival features the best emerging talent from all genres of music from BC, Alberta, Yukon, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The artists who perform at the festival are selected by a group of impartial jurors who have demonstrated both their knowledge of music and their familiarity with the various musical scenes across the west.

This year's Breakout West Festival will take place in Kelowna, BC from Thursday, October 21 to Saturday October 23, 2010. The performances will take place in premiere live music venues in downtown Kelowna, playing to receptive audiences and music industry representatives from across Canada and around the world.
